The morning after one of the recent natural disasters is always a sombre affair - 1000s of people are affected and most of us share their sorrow in some or another. We timed our departure between two surges in Tutukaka Marina (a couple of poles got ripped out and there was some minor damage to some boats - as Herbie said, "If that's the worst we get, then sign me up now"). We did nothing brave, special or in any way amazing, just went about our business to enjoy a weekend diving away from the troubles of the world.
