The steep cliffs of the Poor Knights Islands continue below the surface to produce some sheer walls that plunge almost vertically into the deep. These walls are covered with stunning life such as fans and sponges, which look even more spectacular against a clear blue backdrop as you look up toward the surface. These walls and some archways provide excellent sites to conduct the PADI Deep diver course. These sites are also the locations favoured by some of the pelagic visitors to the Poor Knights.
The PADI Deep Diver Specialty will introduce you to some of the techniques used to safely plan a deep dive. Air management and narcosis are two of the factors most relevant to deep divers and you'll learn to recognize and deal with them. With small groups of 2 you'll get to experience the deep in a safe manner, whilst enjoying the wonders of the deep. If you intend to dive to the recreational limit of 40m then the PADI Deep Diver Specialty is the course for you.
