SunFish on the starboard bow

Spotted a Sunfish on our way back the other weekend - surely that means that the summer dive season has started.

More and more action in the water each week. On Fred's Pinnacle there was heaps of life at all depths. A small school of Pink Maomao swam past in a hurry and soon it became clear why - a large group of juvenile Kingfish were hot on their heals (not that they have heals, but you get the idea!!). A little shallower there was a wall of Trevally just circling in front of us. So we decided to hang there with them for a few minutes.

Gem Nudibranchs were covering the walls near Mine Shaft Cave and out at the point the visibility was perfect. Juvenile Leather-jackets were hiding in the kelp and morays were lurking beneath.

We all missed the big wall at Cream Gardens, but along the reef we came across Cray-Crack (at least that's what we dubbed it). There must have been over a dozen in there - hanging upside down and deep into the crack.
