Turtle in the Arch

Wowser, a turtle diving down in Middle Arch - a rare treat indeed!!

Another monster of the deep was spotted at Hope Point - a Packhorse lobster just wandering through the kelp (they know it's a marine reserve and a no take area). Then Kent spotted 'The largest Red Cray I've ever seen' in a crack near Maomao arch - even bigger than the Packhorse! Meanwhile a Yellow Moray, a Grey Moray and a Scorpion Fish were happily sharing a piece of black sponge and looking like a happy family :)

There was a bit of a current running through South Harbour, but at least our divers managed to get  back to the boat without assistance! Another oddity was a moray sat on a Nautilus shell just outside Middle Arch. On the coast we had a quick dip, spotted two Octopus and were surrounded by a huge school of Koheru.

The visibility has returned to 15m and the computers are showing 17 degrees.
