Magic at the Wall

Out in the sand by Magic Wall there were plenty of Stingrays - among them a pair mating!!

Two long-tail Rays were doing the horizontal salsa out in the sand near magic wall. There were dozens of rays, some laying around and others swimming in the current - it was like a little stingray brothel :)

For the first time in a month we were diving on the eastern side and even managed to get a morning dive in at Cream Gardens (still no Bronzies though - DOH) and a second at Barren Arch. Plenty of Pink Maomao, Kingfish and a school of Trevally were spotted, but Nudibranchs were fewer than on recent dives. At about 20m there was a thermocline and the cooler water was shimmering beneath.

The western side was warmer and the vis a little better, but with daylight saving came the westerly winds - I guess it'll be either side from now on.

Visibility from 15m-30m and temp ranging from 16 (in the cold thermoclines) to 20 degrees.
