Shark Action
We've dived there many times over the years, but finally we had a close up dive with some Bronzies at Cream Gardens! Easter Sunday morning and we anchored at Cream Gardens and the first diver was in at 8:30. Waiting at the surface he popped his head up: "Shark down here." Minutes later the rest of them were in the water and below the surface. 30-40 mins later the first of them pop back up, "Best dive ever", "Amazing", "Shark everywhere!" Some saw 4, others 8, over the kelp line in 10-15m of water, just by the wall. Some above, some below and fish everywhere!! Finally the sharks had come back to their old stomping ground.
Monday morning and we were back to check out the theory. I managed to get in first and headed off along the wall. 10 mins in and nothing, "Bloody sharks!' Then over the wall came the first, out of the blue the second and along the wall the third. WOW! They check me out and cruised off as quick as they had arrived. Out at the point the Snapper, Maomao, Trevally and Kingfish were swarming in the current. I turned back along the wall another Bronzie cruised past about 15m away, just in the blurry distance. It's been a bit of a wait, but well worth it - hope they become regular sightings again :D
