A bit of Training

It's taken most of the winter, but finally completed Tim's Advanved course and a Cavern Course for someone too....

We started a while ago with the Nav dive and then a series of bad weather, moving house and a bit of illness put a pause in the advanced course. A small window of opportunity opened and we completed the Deep and Wreck Adventures - only 2 to go!! Another round of illness and bad weather caused some more delays and then a Monday arrived when diving was a go! Over to the Knights we went and completed the Multilevel/Computer and Digital Photography Adventure dives - HURRAH. Running a course over winter on an Ad-Hoc basis can be done - it just requires patience, timing and some good luck. A few photos taken at Barren Arch:

Then, over a 3 day trip, we ran a Cavern Course. The SW winds weren't ideal, but managed to use Matt's Crack to the full (even with the swell making the back section very interesting indeed - good to be challenged though isn't it!?). A small wind-shift meant we could lay some line into Taravana Cave - trouble is under PADI standards you can't go in very far. Mary lead some of the others on the boat round the loop and Kent came out grinning like a Cheshire Cat!! Keep an eye out for some exciting news regarding Cavern and overhead training coming soon!!

Didn't take my camera out on any of the dives, but the large Hydroid at The Canyons had 30+ Jason's on (Rikoriko also seems to have gathered more Jason's since a week ago). Maybe Kent and Veerle will post some up soon. Water still around 16 and vis 10-15m.
