Around the same time last year Tie-Dye Arch (at The Pinnacles) was home to 20 or so Stingrays! They've come back, so get yourselves over there and check them out.

Saturday morning we made the most of the calm conditions and headed over to The Pinnacles for a dive at Tie-Dye Arch. The water was a little murky, but that usually means plenty of fish action. The divers went in and about 35 mins later returned with tales of Stingrays cruising above and below them, in front and behind and just all over the Archway. Last year they stayed for about 4 weeks, so hurry along and just sit at the bottom of the Arch (about 14m) and let them cruise over you, or float at 10m and have them all around!

Other dives over the weekend included Fred's Pinnacle, with plenty of Pink Maomao, Cave Bay wall, with some fantastic Vis down at 30m. The day and the night dive at Blue Maomao Arch yielded some Janolis Ignis and Mokohinau. Lots of other Nudibranch action on all the walls and the channel saw lots of stingrays cruising by or just sat in the sand.

Water temp still 16-17, with vis 10-15m (unless you're at 30m at Cave Bay with 30m+)
