4 days of diving saw us saying farewell to 2009. Bring on 2010 at The Poor Knights...

The last trip of 2009 saw us at 12 different dive sites over 4 days! Sugarloaf, Tie-Dye Arch, Blue Maomao, Cream Gardens, Cave Bay, Middle Arch, Magic Wall, Fred's Pinnacle, Northern Arch, Eastern Arch, Shaft Cave & Barren Arch.

Always hard to beat Tie-Dye, but Eastern Arch had 15-20 Stingrays stacked at the entrance - not really good enough vis for a photo, but still a great sight. Lots of schooling fish around the Fred's Pinnacle and Cream Gardens. Northern Arch was stuffed full of fish and the largest Golden Snapper I've ever seen. More weird and wonderful nudibranchs on the night dive at Blue Maomao and plenty of day time slugs too. No big gethering of stingrays at Sugarloaf yet, but plenty of them at most other sites. The Kingfish are still out at the point on Sugarloaf and the schools of Trevally are just getting bigger and bigger.

Lots of pleasure boats out at The Knights and even DOC made an appearance. They even caught a couple who had landed on the islands to endulge in some carnal knowledge!!

Water temp is all over the place 15-18 degrees and the water is getting some blue patches. Hope that 2010 will continue as 2009 finished. Happy New Year to you all and see you soon.
