Welcome 2010
The Stingrays are still out in force inside Tie-Dye Arch with about a dozen cruising around at a time. Over at the main Poor Knights Islands there are multiple schools of Blue Maomao and Trevally in almost every bay - they often come down to check the bubbles of divers, who are surrounded by walls of fish as they swarm around them.

Nudibranchs cover the walls - mainly in pairs, but often alone and stretched out on the rocks. Most of the common species are readily spotted and at night the number of nocturnal species seems to grow on each visit! Carpet Sharks are still seen cruising around and Kingfish swim past in larger numbers than just the usual 2-3. The snapper are big, the scorpion fish just get bigger and the morays are getting spotted with far more regularity. All in all it has been a great start to the year - the blue water is slowly creeping in (a few days of easterlies should see the temp rise and water clear even more).
Also, for 2010 we are trying to update some live shots from The Knights - keep an eye out on The Poor Knights Live album.
