Summer Storms and Scuba

Northland and Tutukaka have been pounded by a couple of storms, but hopefully they've brought in some blue water from the Tropics. The rest of summer scuba diving beckons....

The middle of January was defined by the cyclones that hit the area. Around 200mm of rainfall and gusts of 50kn and more didn't make for much (if any) diving, but what there was saw some of that tropical blue water get washed down from our Island neighbours. Loads of fish, great vis and some weird purple/pink jellyfish (the stinging type - photo by Noel of Yukon).

The rest of summer is looking pretty booked up from now until March - the only spaces we really have are mid-week, so get your bookings in early.

We've also been working on a Special Winter Competition - Jamie from TechdiveNZ is ironing out the details, but we'll let them out of the bag soon. Let's just say there'll be an incentive to get some fantastic winter dives in this year.

Water temp pushing 20 degrees and we're hoping the vis will be spectacular!!
